Making: Excuses as to why our thank you cards from our wedding haven’t been sent yet. I might as well call that a no go and just send out birth announcements when Dean comes to everyone who attended. Yep, that sounds like it will work.
Drinking: Homemade passion tea lemonades like you can get at Starbucks. Who knew it was so easy (and cheap) to make yourself? Also, lots of sparkling water. I used to hate the stuff but now, I guess I’ve upped my level of fancy.
Reading: The House of Memories by Monica McInerney. I recently fell in love with her after finishing up her other book Hello from the Gillespies. Seriously, two of the best books I’ve read in a while.
Wanting: To see Dean in 4D again. We got to see him in 4D at one of our early appointments and now I feel like I wish we could have told them to save it till the end. We want to know what this guy looks like so bad.
Watching: Into the Woods. Saw it last night with Mike and now I want to watch it 100x more. Dean was kicking hard and tumbling around so we’re assuming he likes musicals, just like mama.
Listening: Rae Sremmurd’s new album on repeat from my cube at work. This is a no judge zone people! It’s just so fun to dance to while counting down the hours.
Eating: Cinnamon Toast Crunch on a daily basis. I’m back to feeling sick again and nothing else ever sounds appealing. Whoever told you morning sickness was reserved for the first trimester only is a liar!
Smelling: Everything before anyone else. Ask Mike about his car the other day. Haha!
Wishing: Weekends lasted just a little bit longer.
Enjoying: Soaking in as much time with my husband as possible while it’s just the two of us. As much as I can’t wait to see him be a dad, I love being able to hog all of his extra time for myself right now. We booked a little time away for Valentine’s weekend as our last hoorah before it’s the three of us. To say I can’t wait is a serious understatement.
Loving: The amount of love I’ve been getting from my friends lately. Since the wedding, and announcement of Dean, my bridesmaids (besties) have been pretty amazing in supporting all that is happening right now. They make me feel amazing.
Hoping: To find more cool thrifted pieces for Dean’s room. We found his dresser and a vintage glider that I can’t wait to hold him in. This modern pieces like his crib are going to look awesome with his vintage things. He wouldn’t be my child if his space wasn’t fun and eclectic.
Missing: A glass of wine at the end of the day.
Needing: To take a nap, on a beach, and then float in the warm ocean water. Seriously, craving that right now.
Feeling: A little drained. The first week back at work after the holidays was not as graceful as I’d liked it to be and then we had a Sales Kickoff the week immediately after. It was a little tough getting back into the swing of things. Hello 5:30 am alarm!
Wearing: Maternity jeans almost exclusively. I think they should drop the word maternity from the title and just call them awesome jeans because I may never return to the wicked world of jeans that actually button again.
